Delling Lab - Junior Specialist

Position Overview

Delling Lab in the Department of Physiology, UC San Francisco is recruiting for a Junior Specialist.

• Basic laboratory skills:
  Molarity calculations, accurate solution formulation, pH determination, and maintenance of accurate notebooks.
• Molecular biology: PCR, DNA isolation and manipulation, PCR genotyping interpretation, protein gel electrophoresis.
• Animal work:
  Work with mice and manage a mouse colony.
• Lab management:
  Oversee and organize ordering of lab supplies.

• Must have a baccalaureate degree (or equivalent) or at least four years of research experience.
• Ability to understand and follow basic laboratory protocols with direct supervision.
• Ability to perform complex tasks without committing errors.

• Must have a baccalaureate degree (or equivalent) in Biological Sciences with emphasis on cellular and/or molecular biology and completion of an undergraduate research project.

See Table 24B for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $55,000-$58,600.
