Research Assistant/Associate
Position Description
A junior/assistant specialist position is available in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of California, San Francisco.
This role will assist cancer research teams with data collection, data management, data cleaning, and data analysis. Collaborating closely with other research group members, you will participate in group meetings, prepare for presentations at team meetings and journal clubs, and carry out additional duties as assigned. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and scientists.
The position encourages participation in training and learning opportunities within the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and related entities, preparing candidates for future clinical research roles.
Required Qualifications- Junior rank: B.A. or B.S. (or equivalent) in biology, chemistry, physics, or a related field.
- Assistant rank:
Master’s degree, or bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of research experience.
- Experience with clinical medicine.
- Experience developing experimental and analytical plans.
- Prior research experience.
Estimated range: $55,000 - $70,700.
