Position Overview
Saloner Lab - Junior/Assistant/Associate/Full Specialist. The Saloner Lab is seeking a Specialist at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) in the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging to work on acquisition and evaluation of MR imaging studies in patients with vascular disease.
Responsibilities- Imaging subjects with vascular disease, processing data, and performing analyses on imaging features across disease conditions.
- Perform studies to optimize the utilization of 4D Flow techniques with systematic comparisons in flow models, in numerical simulation, and with comparison to in vivo imaging studies.
- Develop methods to visualize flow streamlines, particle trajectories, and the dissipation of turbulent kinetic energy.
- Prepare manuscripts reporting results and assist in grant preparation.
- Junior rank: baccalaureate degree in a related science (or equivalent) or at least four years of research experience.
- Assistant rank: master’s degree (or equivalent) or bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with at least three years of research experience.
- Associate rank: master’s degree (or equivalent) or five to ten years of research experience.
- Full rank: terminal degree (or equivalent) or ten or more years of research experience.
- Applicants must meet all qualifications by appointment date.
- Applicant materials must list current and/or pending qualifications upon submission.
- Expertise in data analysis, postprocessing of imaging data, knowledge of vascular anatomy, and ability to perform statistical analyses of complex data sets.
- Postgraduate training in field. Advanced degree in physics or engineering and knowledge of the principles of MR imaging.
- Knowledge of advanced computer skills such as Matlab, Python, and C++.
The salary range for this position is $55,000-$194,800, as indicated in Table 24B.
