Research Assistant/Associate, Research Scientist, Clinical Research
Position Summary
Assistant/Associate/Full Researcher positions are available in the UCSF Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Title and salary will be commensurate with level of experience.
Responsibilities- Contribute high‑quality data for research grants, manuscripts, and scientific presentations.
- Mentor graduate students, post‑doctorate fellows, and junior staff and provide guidance on study design, data analysis, and innovative methodologies.
- Oversee project progress, coordinate partner efforts, and report outcomes to leadership and funding agencies.
- Assist in identifying new funding opportunities, coordinating submission of new project proposals, and preparation of manuscripts.
- Cultivate relationships with academic, industry, and funding partners.
Additional duties may include lab protocol submission, laboratory safety, facility inspection, laboratory database construction and maintenance, lab supply management, and other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequirements: A doctorate or equivalent degree; at least one year experience working in a laboratory and research environment; proven ability to work well as part of a team; enthusiasm for the practice of science.
CompensationA reasonable estimate for this position is $90,200–$240,000. See Table 13B for the salary range for this position.
