Position Description
The Henrich Lab is now recruiting for an Assistant Professional Researcher. The general responsibilities of this position are to carry out research in the area of HIV reservoirs and curative strategies in the context of treated HIV disease, SARS‑CoV‑2 and other chronic viral infections, and develop and implement novel analytical pipelines for multi‑omic digital spatial profiling, mGNS, and proteomic analyses.
Responsibilities- Write grants and devise appropriate research strategies.
- Design and carry out experiments, interpret data, and report results to internal and external audiences.
- Prepare and submit scholarly papers for peer review.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to younger trainees and supervise their work.
- Independently operate, troubleshoot, and analyze data from GeoMX and Xenium DSP platforms.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and analyze data from Olink and MSD proteomics platforms.
- Develop novel R‑based programming tools for multi‑omic spatial analyses.
- Perform independent operation, troubleshooting, and analysis of data from real‑time quantitative PCR, RNA probe hybridization, and RNAscope/miFISH platforms.
- PhD or equivalent degree in biomedical sciences or related field.
- At least 1+ years of post‑doctoral training/fellowship experience.
- Experience with R programming for differential expression analyses on bulk, single‑cell, GeoMX, and Xenium DSP data.
- Experience with RNAscope assays and interpretation.
- Experience with Olink proteomic analyses.
- Experience with MSD proteomic platform assay design, implementation, and analysis.
- Experience with BSL‑2 tissue culture and tissue processing.
- Working with HIV‑1 and SARS‑CoV‑2 infected tissues.
- Experience in infectious disease host‑response and antibody/immune response profiling.
See Table 13B for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $93,400–$122,100.
