Wilson Lab - Assistant/Associate/Full Professional Research Series
The Wilson Lab is seeking applications for a Professional Researcher at the Assistant, Associate, or Full rank. The Professional Researcher will lead the laboratory’s chemical/radio chemical development program and acquire funding. You will obtain all preliminary data needed for extramural grant applications and write/submit full applications as principal investigator or co‑principal investigator. The role requires extensive interaction with cyclotron personnel and regulatory bodies including the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Required Qualifications- Doctorate (or equivalent) in organic chemistry and/or radiochemistry.
- Advanced training in chemistry, radiochemistry, analytic techniques, microbiology and animal models.
- Experience writing peer‑reviewed publications and grant applications.
- Outstanding communication skills to organize the efforts of junior personnel.
- Experience with the translation of PET radiopharmaceuticals.
- Ability to develop new research directions independently.
- Strong history of scientific collaboration and potential to develop a sustained source of research funding.
- Excellent (high‑impact) publications in chemistry, radiochemistry, and imaging sciences.
- Principal investigator for a grant.
- Completion of a post‑doctoral fellowship.
See Table 13B for the salary range. A reasonable estimate for this position is $93,400–$248,400.
