Part Time Junior Specialist – University of California, San Francisco
Department: The Nakamura Laboratory in the Department of Radiation Oncology at UCSF
Location: San Francisco, CA
Position OverviewThe part‑time junior specialist will work on translational research projects focusing on human cognitive function and innovative brain imaging approaches, analyzing molecular biomarkers to study predictors of memory function in adult research subjects. The specialist will assist with study coordination, coordinate the collection of blood sample tubes, process samples for genetic and protein analysis, maintain accurate records and inventory, and prepare progress reports as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain detailed records and documentation of experiments and data.
- Coordinate the assembly of progress reports.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational, communication skills and teamwork.
- BS or BA in a STEM major (strongly preferred).
- Prior laboratory experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
