Delling Lab – Junior Specialist

Department of Physiology, UC San Francisco

Responsibilities
  • Basic laboratory skills:
    Molarity calculations, accurate solution formulation, pH determination, and maintenance of accurate notebooks.
  • Molecular biology: PCR, DNA isolation and manipulation, PCR genotyping interpretation, protein gel electrophoresis.
  • Animal work:
    Work with mice and manage mouse colony.
  • Lab management:
    Oversee and organize ordering of lab supplies.
Required Qualifications
  • Must have a baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree) or at least four years of research experience.
  • Ability to understand and follow basic laboratory protocols with direct supervision.
  • Ability to perform complex tasks without committing errors.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Must have a baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree) in Biological Sciences with emphasis on cellular and/or molecular biology with completion of an undergraduate research project.

Salary range: $55,000–$58,600.
