A confidential clinical-stage biotech client is expanding their biologics discovery team and looking for a Scientist to help move next-generation immune-redirecting antibody candidates through early discovery and toward preclinical development. This is a hands-on lab role with genuine input into which candidates advance.
What You'll Do- Contribute to antibody design, production and purification
- Design and run functional studies to inform target and lead selection
- Develop and refine cell-based potency and safety assays
- Characterise antibody binding and specificity using standard immunoassay techniques
- Work with engineered cell systems and primary immune cell populations
- Partner cross-functionally and with external labs to keep programmes on track
- Translate complex data into clear, decision-ready conclusions
- Experience in antibody or biologics discovery within immuno‑oncology
- Hands‑on cell biology skills: cell line engineering, primary immune cell culture, functional immunoassays
- A track record of turning complex datasets into clear scientific conclusions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Level: PhD + 1–3 years post-PhD, or MS + 5–7 years in immunology, cell biology or biologics discovery.
