Position Description
The Department of Neurology at UCSF is recruiting for positions at the Assistant, Associate, and full ranks of the Professional Research series. This role is expected to provide research expertise in neuroimaging, statistical genetics, data generation and analysis, bioinformatics, machine learning, or other areas related to Neurology and Neuroscience. Appointees to the Professional Research series are eligible for Principal Investigator (PI) status and are expected to engage in -- or be working toward -- an independent research program and do not have teaching responsibilities.
Required QualificationsCandidates must possess a doctoral degree or equivalent and demonstrate unique and essential research expertise in Neurology and/or Neuroscience by the time of hire. Candidates’ CV must state the required degree (or if pending) upon submission.
Preferred QualificationsPreferred qualifications include postdoctoral training in a Neurology- or Neuroscience-related program, experience as a PI, and/or a demonstrable record of independent, funded research.
Salary RangeSee Table 24B for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $93,400-$248,400.
