Research Scientist
Huang laboratory seeks a Junior Specialist with interests in regenerative biology and extreme physiology to investigate organ development, regeneration, and repair using heart models in adult zebrafish, neonatal, and adult mice. The role emphasizes stem cell activation pathways, cell dedifferentiation/proliferation, and integrates single‑cell analysis, advanced imaging microscopy, and CRISPR/Cas9 technologies. Duties include human pluripotent stem cell culture, mouse husbandry, and genomics techniques.
This position offers research experience in a collaborative environment and opportunities to author publications.
- Must have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent degree) by the time of hire.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written).
- Willingness and ability to learn new methods and skills for changing research priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a research team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, coordinate work tasks with others, and meet multiple deadlines.
- Applicants’ materials must list current and/or pending qualifications upon submission.
- Prior experience with culturing human pluripotent stem cells.
- Prior experience with mouse handling.
- A 2‑year commitment is preferred.
