Barback - Devil's Acre

The Devil’s Acre – Barback (Friday and Saturday only)

The Devil’s Acre is a tribute to San Francisco’s Barbary Coast during the 1850s through the 1900s, a time when alcohol served as a cure for all ailments. If you like being part of a small team, enjoy live music and are detail-oriented, the barback position at The Devil’s Acre may be right for you. We are looking for persons who have experience in the restaurant, bar, or hotel industries or those looking to and are eager to learn.

Typical hours are between 3:30 pm - 3:30 am.

• Assist bartenders with daily service
• Maintain overall bar cleanliness
• Prepare batches and other cocktail ingredients
• Wash and organize glassware
• Retrieve and keep adequate levels of bar stock
• Clean as part of opening and closing duties

• Strong attention to detail
• Able to follow directions
• Basic math skills or an ability to use a calculator and understand proportions
• Good interpersonal skills
• Has or is willing to obtain a CA Food Handler’s Certification and RBS training required
• 21+ years of age or older
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. without assistance

• Hourly rate SF minimum + tips
