• Collect and organize shopping carts within the store and retrieve carts from the parking lot and surrounding areas.
• Assist customers with loading of merchandise into shopping carts and provide assistance for loading into vehicles.
• Check retail prices on shelves for check stand personnel.
• Pull merchandise from the check stand ("go backs") and return it to the proper shelf; walk aisles and return misplaced items; face merchandise as needed.
• Monitor cleanliness of store entrance (sweep, mop, pick up trash), including outside walkways and entrance/exit doors.
• Monitor overall store cleanliness during the day, sweep, mop, and restock restrooms as required.
• Maintain carts, assist customers with purchases, check prices, and handle return of merchandise to store shelves.

• Read and write English; interact with public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings.
• Apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift/move up to 25 lb, frequently up to 45 lb, occasionally up to 60 lb.
