Deli Cashier

Job Title: Cashier – Marina Deli & Liquor

Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time

Job Description:

We are seeking a friendly and dependable Cashier to join our deli and liquor store team. This position is responsible for handling customer transactions, providing excellent service, and supporting daily store operations. The ideal candidate is attentive, honest, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and provide a welcoming experience
• Operate cash register and process cash, debit, and credit transactions accurately
• Check IDs and verify legal age for alcohol purchases
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
• Assist customers with questions about products and store layout
• Bag items carefully and efficiently
• Restock shelves, coolers, and impulse-buy items near the register
• Support deli staff when needed (light tasks such as packaging or labeling)

Qualifications:

• Previous cashier or retail experience preferred (not required)
• Basic math and money-handling skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Must meet legal age requirements to sell alcohol

Schedule:

Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Pay:

The starting pay will start out at $20 an hour with tips as an additional to hourly pay. Tips system is on a bi-weekly basis as well as regular pay checks too.
