Your Role at SephoraReady for a career glow up? As Assistant Merchant, .com, you’ll support the Merchant, .com in executing online merchandising strategies that drive sales and accelerate growth across a designated brand portfolio. The work you do will impact beauty, as you bring assortments to life through thoughtful digital curation, compelling storytelling, and a seamless client experience across and mobile. You’ll be part of a merchandising team that’s united in beauty, supported by partners who are equally passionate about building brands, spotting trends, and creating new product categories.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Support the execution of online strategies that drive sales and growth for an assigned brand portfolio across owned marketing channels, including email, site, and mobile.
- Monitor business performance, analyze results, and regularly share insights and recommendations with the Merchant and cross-functional partners.
- Partner with retail merchants, inventory teams, and brand partners to address shipping issues, review .com productivity, and maintain accurate, current assortments.
- Own the creative review process for digital placements within the brand portfolio, ensuring products and brand stories are represented accurately and consistently across channels.
- Collaborate with e-commerce partners on site enhancements, launches, and special projects that improve the online client experience.
- Coordinate product setup, content readiness, and ongoing assortment maintenance to support timely and accurate digital execution.
- Build strong working relationships across Merchandising, Marketing, Inventory, Creative, and E-commerce to keep priorities aligned and projects moving forward.
- Develop expertise in online merchandising and digital commerce best practices by staying current on client behavior, market trends, emerging brands, and the competitive landscape.
- Manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities with strong attention to detail, proactively identifying risks and following through on solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of retail buying, merchandising, e-commerce, or related experience, ideally within a major retailer.
- Working knowledge of online merchandising, digital marketing channels, and assortment management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience working with merchandising or retail systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and collaborate across functions.
- Excellent organization, prioritization, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Ability to build relationships, negotiate, and influence partners to support business priorities and project delivery.
- Curiosity about beauty, retail, digital commerce, trends, and the competitive marketplace.
- Ability to work in a hybrid office environment, including onsite work two days per week.
