. We are searching for a visionary Business Development Specialist to join our elite Treasury Services team, specifically focused on early-stage companies. Your mission: to strategically embed Citi's world-class Treasury Solutions (Cash, Cards, Trade) within these agile, high-growth enterprises during their critical growth stage
. You'll be more than a salesperson; you'll be an early and essential trusted advisor, a growth partner, and a critical architect of their financial infrastructure as they scale at warp speed.

What You'll Do:

  • Hunt for Innovation: As part of our dedicated "hunters" team, you will aggressively identify, engage, and secure partnerships with early-stage disruptor companies specifically in the Technology and Life Sciences sectors
    , focusing on their unique and evolving treasury needs.
  • Architect Solutions: Dive deep into complex operating models to design and implement bespoke Citi Treasury Solutions that empower these companies to optimize cash flow, manage risk, and fuel their exponential growth, ensuring a One Citi vision for their future success.
  • Be a Growth Catalyst:>
    Drive significant revenue expansion through strategic cross-sell initiatives, leveraging your expertise to maximize client wallet share and contribute directly to their success story, nurturing small, high-potential clients to become future high-value global clients.
  • Forge Strategic Alliances: Cultivate powerful relationships with internal sales, coverage partners, and international Citi branches to deliver seamless, global solutions to our clients, ensuring sustained engagement throughout the client's lifecycle. Wield your organizational skills and influence, forging strong partnerships with onboarding and service partners to deliver an excellent client experience.
  • Achieve and Exceed: Take ownership of an individual win goal of >$2 Million annually

  • Shape the Future: Bring your insights on disruptive technologies and client trends in liquidity, payments, and treasury technology to the table, helping us evolve and deliver our offerings to future-proof treasury

What You'll Bring:

  • 5+ years of a proven track record in direct sales within Treasury Services or a related financial solutions field, with a demonstrable history of exceeding targets.
  • An innate understanding and passion for the Tech and Life Sciences ecosystems
    , particularly the dynamics of early-stage, high-growth companies. You speak their language and understand their critical growth stage needs.
  • Exceptional communication and diplomacy skills
    , capable of navigating complex conversations and influencing decisions at the highest levels with founders, VCs, and serial entrepreneurs.
  • A "challenge the conventional" mindset – you're not afraid to disrupt the status quo, bring new ideas, and drive solutions that truly make a difference.
