Position: Payments Development Representative

Payments Development Representatives are part of a purpose-driven team that provides an extraordinary product and has an extraordinary impact in customers’ lives. Based in or near Marin County, California, this role will be responsible for identifying and collaborating with existing customers that are underutilizing the power of Shopmonkey payments for their business. A successful candidate will be well versed in embedded payments processing, and find creative solutions based on each shop’s needs and workflow.

This is a hybrid role, with in-office expectations 2 days/week in our Marin County, California office.

As a Payments Development Representative, you will:
  • Contact customers proactively through outbound/inbound efforts (focus will depend on experience and company needs) to ensure they are maximizing the benefit of Shopmonkey Payments
  • Work closely and collaboratively with Sales Leadership to develop and implement appropriate plans for your shops to help them grow their volume and impact of Shopmonkey Payments for their business
  • Conduct in-depth rate analysis on both internal and competitor rates
  • Become an expert in our credit card processing for both online and in person transactions, our available card reader terminals, and surrounding fintech solutions that can benefit our shops
  • Ensure all customers are followed up with, assisted and successful with their use of Shopmonkey Payments
  • Generate and maintain expert knowledge of the Shopmonkey core and Payments product offerings, the automotive services industry, competition, market happenings and trends
  • Oversee that our CRM is being utilized and managed effectively
  • Meet and exceed daily KPI’s and monthly quota
  • Help coach and provide light training of new team members as you grow
To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Ability to handle objections and proactively address potential roadblocks and/or issues
  • Strong interpersonal skills and friendly professional demeanor on the phone
  • Ability to articulate product value proposition with any level of detail or brevity
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Prefer successful sales experience in a B2B SaaS and Payments environment
  • Desire to grow within our organization

Bonus:

  • Experience and keen interest in the Payments industry
  • Fluent in Spanish

This full-time position is compensated at an expected OTE of $80,000. This position is also eligible for equity and standard company benefits.
