Sales Development Rep/SDR, Inside Sales
About the Role
Hey there! Neil here, co-founder t wanted to share my thoughts on the perfect candidate we're looking for as one of our first SDRs. Here's why this seat is a good one. The product sells:
Conversion replaces the legacy stack that marketing teams hate, and the ROI is obvious in the demo. You won't spend your days convincing people the problem exists. Your job is to find the right people, earn their attention, and get them in a room with us. You'll be booking meetings that founders and our enterprise AE actually run, which means you'll see how six-figure deals get worked from your first week.
You'll also have real infrastructure behind you. Our GTM Engineering team builds the data pipelines, ICP models, and enrichment systems that power outbound, so you spend your time on the highest-value work: sharp research, personalized outreach, and great conversations. This is the first dedicated SDR seat at Conversion, and the path from here into a closing role is direct for people who perform.
This role is in-person 5 days/week in San Francisco.
Prospect into our ICP: marketing and marketing ops leaders at fast-growing and enterprise software companies
Run personalized outbound across email, phone, and Linked In to book qualified meetings for our AE and founders
Qualify and route inbound leads with fast, thoughtful follow-up
Work with our GTM Engineer to sharpen targeting, test new plays, and turn intent signals into pipeline
Keep CRM data clean so the whole team can trust pipeline reporting
Hit and exceed weekly and quarterly meeting targets
Help write the SDR playbook: what you learn becomes how we scale the team
Are early in your career (0-2 years of experience) and hungry to build one in sales
Are a strong writer and communicator who can hold a conversation with a VP of Marketing
Are competitive, coachable, and resilient. You learn from every no
Are organized and consistent: you run your day like a system, not a scramble
Want to be in-person with a high-intensity team in San Francisco
Have competed at a high level in something: athletics, debate, competitive clubs, or anything with a scoreboard
Have SDR, sales, or customer-facing internship experience at a startup
Are comfortable with modern GTM tools (Salesforce, Clay, Linked In Sales Navigator, outbound sequencers) or pick up new tools fast
Get energy from AI and want to sell a product at the frontier of it
