Director of Sales, Account Manager
LHH is partnering with one of our San Francisco hospitality clients to hire a Sales Director. This role is a leadership position supporting company wide sales strategy, sales execution, and team oversight across overall hospitality sales. The Sales Director will lead a team in developing new strategies, maintain their own quota, manage existing business as well as creating and executing strategies to bring on new accounts/partnerships.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years experience within a similar sales leadership role and prior experience managing or mentoring sales staff. Experience with in hospitality sales is required.
This is a fully onsite position based in San Francisco, California offering a competitive salary between $175,000-$185,000 depending on experience, with additional discretionary bonus, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with growth potential.
Responsibilities- Own and execute the full sales strategy, driving topline revenue growth, group, and key market segments.
- Lead a multi‑level sales team with a focus on performance, collaboration, and consistent execution of sales initiatives.
- Personally engage in business development and key account management, reactivating relationships and generating new revenue.
- Partner closely with revenue management to align rates, packages, need periods, and promotional strategies tied to market demand and city events.
- Set and manage budgets, quotas, KPIs, forecasting, and sales expenses, with responsibility for payroll, contracts, and revenue performance.
- Serve as a visible, hands‑on leader on property, collaborating with executive leadership and representing the hotel with agencies and industry partners.
- 5+ years experience within Sales Management in hospitality
- Experience with in a boutique or independent hotel environment strongly preferred.
- Proven success leading, mentoring, and re‑energizing sales teams with mixed tenure.
- Strong background in both sales strategy and day‑to‑day execution, including personal quota ownership.
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics tied to revenue and profitability.
- Deep understanding of FIT, group, and leisure segments, including international markets.
- Confident, adaptable leadership style with a growth mindset and hands‑on approach.
- Strong communication, relationship‑building, and executive presentation skills.
- Ability to work fully onsite in San Francisco.
