Our client is building the Amazon for Government — a world where any company can sell to any government in a few clicks. This spans national security tech, space stations, energy infrastructure, healthcare and more.
Their AI platform helps companies identify, pursue, and win the government opportunities they're most likely to convert, and makes it dramatically easier for governments to buy from the private sector.
In one year they've grown to $5M+ ARR, securing Fortune 500 government contractors, the U.S. government and NATO as customers. They're now entering the next phase of growth to capture the entire U.S. market and expand to over 60+ allied nations.
They're building a small, elite team with high standards and low ego. The focus is on doing whatever it takes, getting better at the craft every week, and being genuinely fun to work with. This is the youngest team in their world by far — twenty-somethings running around defense conferences in company t-shirts, surrounded by 40 to 60 year olds in suits and military uniforms.
They're seen as the ambitious AI builders bringing real Silicon Valley energy and modern technology to one of the most traditional industries on earth.
They're looking for an entrepreneurial operator to own their customer deployments. You'll be on the front lines ensuring the platform becomes the AI partner for every defense company, leaving them thinking how did we ever work without this?
What you'll do- Serve as the deployment lead for a portfolio of some of the largest and fastest growing defense and space companies in the world, owning all post-sale relationships from onboarding and training through enterprise adoption, expansion and renewals
- Coordinate complex product onboarding paths ranging from defense-tech startups building in their garage to Fortune 500 companies with thousands of employees, ensuring every organization maximizes the platform's value to transform how they win defense contracts
- Travel on-site around the US and internationally to deploy and lead pilots with customers
- Lead commercial upsell and cross-sell expansions within every account
- Own customer health using account metrics to increase retention, reduce churn and close renewals
- Collaborate with Sales, Product and Engineering, directly influencing the product roadmap and the path to transforming how allied governments and defense companies interact
- 1 to 5 years of consulting, investment banking or strategy experience with big, old industries — you know how to navigate rooms of C suite executives and pitch ROI (McKinsey, Bain, BCG preferred)
- Optional plus: experience leading software deployments in large businesses
- High agency and the ability to context switch extremely fast
- Willingness to travel 1 to 2 times per month for client engagements
- Entrepreneurial experience and mindset — excited about building things from scratch, able to identify issues and execute quickly
- High EQ
- In office forward — this team moves fast, five days per week, in San Francisco or DC
