Founding Account Executive

You'll be Clera's first dedicated closer, owning the full sales cycle from discovery through signature for mid-market and enterprise deals. This is a full-cycle role where you'll self-source pipeline, build the closing playbook, and work directly with founders to shape pricing, positioning, and the entire sales motion. As we scale, you'll carry the number, define the motion, and hire the team around you.

• Own the complete sales cycle from discovery and demo through negotiation and close for mid-market and enterprise customers
• Self-source pipeline through warm and cold outbound alongside inbound qualification
• Build and refine the closing playbook, including pricing strategy, objection handling, and deal stages
• Shape go-to-market strategy directly with the founders
• Grow expansion revenue from existing customers
• Hire and mentor BDRs as Clera's sales organization scales

• 2-6 years of experience as a top-performing Account Executive at a high-velocity startup or in finance (or fast-promoted SDR-to-AE track record)
• Proven track record of consistently beating quota and full-cycle deal ownership—you've sourced, run, and closed your own deals
• Demonstrated success with cold outbound prospecting and turning unlikely opportunities into wins
• High execution velocity with the ability to implement structure, process, and new ideas that accelerate growth
• A track record of doing something exceptional—started a company, won a hackathon, or similar achievement that shows you operate differently
