Global Enterprise Account Manager
The Global Enterprise Account Manager drives business and cross‑sell activities within complex, large enterprise Global Fortune 500 accounts, defending, growing, and expanding revenue across Miller Knoll’s global footprint.
OverviewThis role serves as the primary point of contact for assigned target accounts, developing a comprehensive account plan, leveraging Miller Knoll’s Global Enterprise Management (GEM) platform, and ensuring strong, long‑term client relationships.
Essential Functions- Maintain and evolve the Global Strategic Account Plan, documenting deep understanding of each client’s business drivers.
- Identify all decision makers and key influencers attached to the account.
- Define and execute strategies to grow and defend account business, including upcoming project opportunities.
- Leverage a cross‑functional selling team and Executive Sponsors to retain and expand the account.
- Organize the team around a RACI model, acting as the accountable point of contact.
- Monitor and manage accounts on a long‑term, profitable basis, preserving ongoing relationships.
- Keep client information up‑to‑date in , ensuring accuracy of engagement tracking and sales performance.
- Quantify and monitor top customer opportunities, providing data‑driven visibility into performance.
- Measure all sales activities with robust implementation strategies, utilizing corporate tools and resources.
- Identify and pursue penetration points within assigned accounts to expand relationships and discover new windows of opportunity.
- Collaborate with account team members to develop coverage strategies and orchestrate activities that secure the account.
- Design and maintain a communication process that tracks progress and aligns internal stakeholders.
- 5+ years of successful contract furniture industry selling experience (minimum 3 years in a non‑U.S. based sales/marketing role).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Design, or a related field.
- High‑pressure decision‑making ability, balancing long‑term strategy with short‑term progress milestones.
- Proven aptitude for building and maintaining networks of C‑level executives and key decision‑makers.
- Strong sales process mastery, including qualifying prospects, strategic selling, consultative selling, negotiation, and contract management.
- Innovative, self‑starter mentality with a consistent sense of urgency.
- Exceptional communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal—emphasizing listening and motivating others.
- Financial and business acumen to understand complex financial models and strategy.
- Deep knowledge of Miller Knoll products and services, quickly learning new offerings and differentiating them from competitors.
- Experience in a dealer environment, providing sales planning capabilities and leadership to dealers.
- Commitment to continuous learning and performance improvement.
Ability to travel over 50% nationally and 5% globally as required.
Compensation & BenefitsBase salary range: $185,000 – $200,000+ geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive, and equity awards. Full‑spectrum benefits include Medical, Prescription Drug, Dental, Vision, Health Savings Account, Dependent Day Care Savings Account, Life Insurance, Disability, Paid Time Off (including Vacation and Parental Leave), Holidays, 401(k), and short/long‑term disability.
