About the RoleWe are seeking a full-time Optician and Luxury Eyewear Stylist to join our team at the AHLEM Atelier in Hayes Valley, San Francisco. This role is ideal for someone with experience in the optical industry, who is passionate about design, storytelling, and personalized service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide an exceptional, client-focused experience that embodies AHLEM’s values and aesthetics
- Educate clients on our design philosophy, materials, and French craftsmanship
- Curate personalized frame and lens pairings, guiding clients through prescription lens options, lifestyle needs, and aesthetic considerations
- Build strong relationships through clienteling, follow-up, and attentive service
- Maintain visual standards and support merchandising throughout the Atelier
- Consistently meet or exceed sales goals through authentic, elevated service
- Experience in luxury retail (eyewear, fashion, jewelry, fragrance, or cosmetics)
- A natural storyteller with strong communication and emotional intelligence
- Refined sense of style and product presentation
- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable in a multi-functional boutique setting
- Tech-savvy, with proficiency in CRM and POS systems
- Passionate about design, sustainability, and the luxury client experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in premium or luxury retail
- High school diploma required; studies in fashion, design, or visual arts are a plus
- Optical experience or familiarity with lens selection
