- Own and execute the sales and business development strategy for small molecule discovery services, including DEL, hit finding, and hit optimization.
- Generate and qualify new commercial leads through outbound prospecting, existing relationships, conferences, and partnering meetings.
- Lead the full sales cycle: initial outreach, scientific discussions, proposal development, pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and deal closure.
- Sell discovery programs covering DNA-encoded library screening, hit validation, medicinal chemistry, and hit-to-lead / hit optimization.
- Act as the primary commercial point of contact for clients, ensuring strong relationships and repeat business.
- Collaborate closely with internal discovery, chemistry, and project teams to scope programs that meet client goals while supporting revenue growth.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, partnering events, and scientific meetings.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline reporting, and CRM updates for leadership.
- Monitor competitive landscape and market trends to refine sales messaging and strategy.
- Help position the company’s other capabilities, including oligonucleotide synthesis for research and drug discovery, chemical synthesis, biochemical and cell based assays, animal studies to relevant partners.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or scientific sales within biotech, pharma, CRO, or platform technology organizations.
- Strong working knowledge of small molecule drug discovery, including DNA-Encoded Libraries (DEL) and hit optimization workflows.
- Demonstrated experience selling complex, science-driven services or technologies.
- Familiarity with small molecule and other drug modalities and their discovery or optimization challenges.
- Proven ability to consistently close deals and meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage both scientific and executive stakeholders.
- Self-directed, results-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills.
