Job Purpose

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (ICE) is seeking an experienced Listings Director to represent the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in the Western region of the United States. This role is responsible for building and maintaining senior-level relationships with executives of NYSE-listed companies, as well as identifying and pursuing new listing opportunities.

Overview

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (ICE) is seeking an experienced Listings Director to represent the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in the Western region of the United States. This role is responsible for building and maintaining senior-level relationships with executives of NYSE-listed companies, as well as identifying and pursuing new listing opportunities. The Listings Director will serve as a regional ambassador for the NYSE, demonstrating a deep understanding of its market model, regulatory framework, investor relations services, and public policy advocacy.

The role requires a strong regional presence and active engagement through company visits, industry events, and public speaking to support client relationships and business development initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary NYSE point of contact for a portfolio of listed companies, building trusted, long-term relationships with C-suite executives, IR leaders, and General Counsel
  • Proactively engage issuers to ensure they are educated on and actively utilizing the full suite of NYSE benefits, from market intelligence to visibility and events
  • Monitor company news, earnings, and corporate developments to drive timely, relevant outreach and identify engagement opportunities
  • Travel frequently within the region for in-person issuer visits, and participate in meetings and events at the NYSE
  • Lead retention efforts for assigned accounts, proactively identifying at-risk companies and coordinating cross-functional responses to address issuer concerns
  • Drive new listing opportunities including IPOs, spin-offs, carve-outs, and transfers from competing exchanges, in close partnership with the Capital Markets team
  • Articulate NYSE's competitive differentiation, including market model, DMM value, cost-of-capital advantages, and listed community - - in a clear and compelling way
  • Navigate complex conversations with transparency and professionalism, coordinating with internal teams to resolve inquiries
  • Act as a trusted advisor on issues affecting public companies, including corporate governance, shareholder activism, ESG, passive investing, proxy advisory matters, and investor access
  • Promote NYSE's market structure, services, and competitive advantages to existing and prospective issuers, tailoring the value proposition to each company's stage, sector, and priorities
  • Connect issuers with relevant NYSE resources including Index Advisory, Investor Access, Board Services, media and visibility programs, and NYSE Institute
  • Represent NYSE at industry conferences and partner events, expanding the exchange's presence with current and prospective issuers
  • Facilitate introductions to Designated Market Makers (DMMs) and educate issuers on the NYSE market model and its impact on trading quality and liquidity
  • Manage and support NYSE corporate programs including listing ceremonies, anniversary events, board and analyst meetings, investor days, round tables, and regional events
  • Partner with marketing, communications, and events teams to develop targeted engagement strategies for assigned accounts
  • Collaborate with internal teams across Listings, Capital Markets, Marketing, Strategy & Execution, Research, Events, and Media/Communications to support strategic client outreach
  • Establish regular interaction with NYSE senior leadership and key industry stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, contacts, and engagement activities in Salesforce
  • Leverage AI tools, Fact Set, and internal data systems to streamline meeting preparation, research, and issuer communications
Knowledge And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or CFA preferred
  • Fifteen or more years of relevant professional experience
  • Proven experience engaging senior corporate executives, preferably within the region
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated executive presence, judgment, and adaptability across audiences
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Background in investor relations or equity research preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the securities industry and institutional investment community
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail
California Base Salary Range

The expected base salary for this role, if located in California, is between $150, USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange’s incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual.
