Application Sales Specialist

Territory: Western USA & Canada (West Coast Based)

We are seeking a hands‑on, organized, and detail-oriented Applications Sales Specialist to champion our Ultrafiltration/TFF (Pulse) portfolio across the Western US and Canada. In this fast-paced role, you will bridge the gap between cutting‑edge science and sales. You will manage the full sales process, collaborating closely with our Inside Sales team to turn leads into successful partnerships. This is a highly consultative role perfect for a scientist looking to transition into business, or an experienced sales professional with a strong technical background.

• Own the Sales Process: Manage opportunities from initial contact through negotiation, pricing, purchasing follow-up, and closing.
• Showcase the Tech: Deliver compelling customer demos and provide hands‑on support during product evaluations.
• Support the Customer Journey: Provide expert applications support, implement customer training, and ensure seamless onboarding.
• Travel & Network: Travel across the territory to meet with customers, perform equipment demonstrations, and represent FORMULATRIX® at industry trade shows.

• Educational Background: BSc (or equivalent) in a life sciences field, featuring solid knowledge of general biochemistry, cell biology, and molecular biology.
• Technical Expertise: Hands‑on experience in at least one of the following areas:
  Preparative macromolecular separation techniques, microfiltration/ultrafiltration (
  Tangential Flow Filtration / TFF experience is highly preferred
  ), purification and characterization of proteins, nucleic acids, viral vectors, or lipid nanoparticles on a "multi-milligram scale."
• Commercial Acumen: Prior sales experience is a definite advantage, but not essential if you have the right technical drive and communication skills.

• Mobility: Ability to travel as needed throughout the Western US and Canada. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
