Position Description
The Moslehi Lab is recruiting a Junior Specialist to pursue projects related to cardiovascular toxicities associated with cancer immunotherapies and chemotherapeutic drugs. The role involves generating and characterizing pre
- clinical mouse models recapitulating immune checkpoint inhibitor myocarditis and other cardiovascular toxicities, utilizing these models to understand underlying biology, and integrating findings with a robust clinical surveillance program. The specialist will help enhance pre
- clinical models, support translational projects within the Moslehi Lab and UCSF Cardio-Oncology Section, and inform clinical care for the expanding cardio‑oncology patient population.
The incumbent will gain experience in molecular biology techniques such as flow cytometry, western blotting, single
- cell/single-nuclear RNA sequencing, and will contribute to bioinformatic analysis using Seurat/R. Experience with animal handling, including electrocardiogram and echocardiography, is desired.
- B.A. in biology/related topic or equivalent research experience.

- motivated and able to learn quickly. - Demonstrated effective communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with other members of the team toward carrying out the broader goals of the laboratory.
- Proven ability to effectively manage time, successfully work on multiple concurrent projects, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to conduct literature reviews and contribute to manuscript preparation or revision.
- Previous experience with mouse handling and/or colony maintenance.
- Previous flow cytometry experience.
- Working knowledge of Seurat/R.
- Interest in cardio-oncology or immunology.
