Executive Protection Driver (Security)

The position will provide security and executive protection to executives as needed and will have responsibilities in executive protection, executive driving, special event support, travel security, advance location assessment, and security assessment reviews. This role may require performing security duties with the Metro One security team. The EP Driver reports to the Director of Security and interacts regularly with the Account Manager for the Metro One security team.

• Apply principles of executive protection in all activities, including working in and around groups of people, managing the executive’s presence in emergencies, and providing security at arrivals and departures for public and private venues.
• Plan and manage emergency procedures, route planning, travel-related venue arrivals/departures, site surveys/assessments to ensure a safe environment for executives at public or special events.
• Conduct surveillance and counter-surveillance activities, perform advance work, and use GPS and related apps for optimal route planning.
• Coordinate with other departments, administrative staff, contract security services, and public safety personnel as the primary liaison.
• Maintain licensing appropriate to possession of a firearm and stay proficient in firearms use, including familiarity with disarming techniques for all weapons.
• Operate with discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity in all protective measures.
• Demonstrate significant driving experience, complete vehicle operations training, possess tactical driving experience, and have knowledge of vehicle dynamics, anti-crime/terrorist driving, evasive maneuvering, and aircraft security.
• Work extended hours beyond steady shifts due to executive travel, meetings, and activities.
• Maintain assigned equipment inventory and perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Security, including monitoring Emergency Alert Systems, supporting conference security, assisting with employee separations, and conducting home security surveys.

• Regular contact with the Security Command Center to ensure vehicle maintenance and monitoring.
• Life Safety responsibilities including AED deployment, CPR, and First Aid certification.
• Facilitate CEO/Executive Team ground travel and coordinate ground transportation issues; act as a Fixed Base Operation (FBO) to coordinate President/ET departures/arrivals.
• Manage risk for the President/ET daily and for special events; develop and manage EP strategies.
• Manage security and threat assessment for assigned executive residences and coordinate with administrative staff, security officials, and law enforcement personnel.
• Lead an EP team to coordinate and allocate resources for a secure and safe environment.

• Excellent character, integrity, professional demeanor, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-starter with initiative and ability to follow protocol and chain of command.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Physically fit; drug- and nicotine-free.
• Willing to undergo pre-employment background investigations and random drug tests.
• Clean driving record, valid driver's license, and good knowledge of CA metro areas.
• Emergency medical response readiness; current AED/CPR and first aid certification required.
