San Francisco | Security & Transportation | Full Time, Hourly, 36+ hours a week

Pay Range: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour

Full Time Shift: Wednesday - Sunday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Provides security services for residents and employees of the organization. Protects from and responds to fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry by performing the following duties.

• Security I:
  Provides quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction.
• Patrols, periodically, outside grounds of campus and lobbies, corridors and public rooms, access points of the facility to ensure safety and security of residents and staff.
• Responds to fire alarms, emergency call switch activation and other emergencies.
• Warns violators of rule infractions (such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles) and reports or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
• Investigates and completes resident loss reports and incident reports, provides copies to supervisor and maintains a file.
• Keeps accurate log of shift activities.
• Occasionally performs emergency janitorial duties and sets thermostatic controls to maintain specified temperatures in buildings or cold storage rooms.
• Familiar with all disaster, fire and other emergency procedures as outlined in facility disaster plan.
• Performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner; wears PPE/safety equipment as required; reports safety hazards and/or accidents to supervisor.
• Follows department safety standards, practises body mechanics techniques and participates in campus-wide safety programs.
• Supports safety initiatives and ensures equipment with safeguards, personal safety equipment, and adequate safety instructions for employees.
• All employees follow safe work habits to prevent injuries to themselves, residents, visitors or other employees.

• Essential:
  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

• Nonessential:
  Security Guard Card

• Essential:
  High School diploma or GED

• 6 Months security guard experience
