This position is located in the Tenderloin of San Francisco, CA. You must have reliable transportation to and from San Francisco, CA.
Pay- Starting pay $26.50 per hour with the possibility of overtime.
- Position One: 32 hour weekly Full-Time position 2230‑0700
- Position Two: 24 hour weekly Part-Time position 2230‑0700
Days of the week that you will be working will be determined at the time of hire. Must have weekend availability.
Experience- Must be comfortable working with LGBTQ individuals, the homeless community, and people experiencing substance use challenges.
- Candidates should be empathetic, customer-oriented, and able to engage respectfully with queer, trans, and non-binary individuals.
- Basic computer and smartphone proficiency required.
- Experience working in behavioral health, shelters, healthcare or community outreach environments preferred.

- Must possess a current BSIS Guard Card.
- Access control experience.
- Bi-lingual highly desirable.
- Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to read, write and understand and carry out written orders, policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Ability to write and understand English.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, outstanding customer service skills, and take the initiative in completing assigned tasks.
- Willing to accept shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime if needed.
- Reliable transportation.
- Friendly and professional demeanor.
- Able to pass a drug test and background check.
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Possess and maintain a valid State Guard Registration (guard card).
- Conduct foot patrols alone.
- Patrol and maintain general security of assigned property as described in Post Orders / SOP.
- Utilize a smartphone or similar device to maintain a Daily Activity Report, and create Incident and Facility Maintenance Reports.
- Maintain consistent performance, attendance, uniform appearance, and professional grooming.
- Maintain professional communications with clients, colleagues, and the public.
- Respond to emergency calls, including medical, fire, and damage to property.
- Guard Card (Required).
Responsible for patrolling facilities, detecting unauthorized activities, maintaining safety of employees and visitors, responding to emergency situations, and preventing theft, damage, or injury.
