** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an education location.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.

+ Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout buildings, common areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.

+ Monitor access points and observe campus-related activity to help to deter trespassing, disruptions, and/or policy violations, reporting concerns through proper channels.

+ Support students, faculty, staff, and visitors by giving directions, answering questions, and assisting with security-related concerns in a professional manner.

* Minimum Requirements:

*
* + At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.

+ A guard card or license is preferred.

+ Alarm panel experience is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
