Position Type:
Part Time

Pay Rate: $27.90 / Hour

Job Schedule: Day Time Fri  11:00 PM - 07:30 AM Sat 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM

What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following security-related procedures, location policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an educational setting.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to supervisors, local authorities, and/or campus contacts when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe site activity to help deter unauthorized entry, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Document incidents, daily activities, and/or observed conditions in required reports, and assist with directions, escorts, and other customer service needs across the location.
Minimum Requirements
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
