Armed Healthcare Protection Officer
Pay progression:
The full rate for this position is $40/hr.
Starting wage: $36/hr
4 months after hire: $38/hr
3 months after & onward: $40/hr
Job DescriptionAs part of the Regional Security Services team, the Healthcare Protection Officer (HPO) is responsible for the physical and personal security for members, staff, and visitors within the health care client facilities. This includes responding to emergency situations, preserving order, and enforcing regulations related to personnel, visitors, and premises. Protects staff and property from theft or damage, or persons from hazards and interference, including the potential for violence in the workplace.
The HPO will partner with security and clinical leaders to establish a unified care team to identify and mitigate security and workplace violence risks.
Travel required:
Travel on an occasional basis with some overnight stays. Must have reliable transportation and be available for unplanned travel.

Required Experience:
- 3+ years:
Security, military, or law enforcement related experience.
Required
Education:
- HS Diploma or GED
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to pass physical aptitude test (PAT) which may include timed push-ups, sit-ups, physical agility assessment, and a life-sized dummy drag.
- Valid Driver's License
- California Bureau of Security and Investigative Service (BSIS) Guard Card
- California Bureau of Security and Investigative Service (BSIS) Exposed Firearms Permit
