About the Role
The Security Officer delivers a high-touch, concierge-level security experience across Gap lnc’s San Francisco Headquarters. Serving as frontline ambassadors of the Global Security organization, Officers ensure a safe, welcoming, and professional environment while protecting employees, visitors, executives, Board members, contractors, and assets. This role blends premium hospitality with disciplined physical security practices, including perimeter protection, access control, emergency response, and real-time coordination with the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC).

What You’ll DoOverseeandensurethesecurityofallassignedareaswithinthe San Francisco corporate headquarters,maintainingaconsistently safe andsecure environment.
Manage building accessandsupport an efficient flowofemployees, contractors,andvisitorswhile enforcing security and access control protocols.
Inspect,monitor,andmaintainsecuritycompliance acrossentrypoints,lobbies,common areas, stairwells, and perimeter locations.
Conduct regular interior and exterior patrolsto ensure perimeter integrity,identifysafetyhazards, and detect potential risks.
Operateandmonitorsecuritysystems,including CCTV/VMS,access control,radio communications, and life-safety systems.
Coordinatewithemployees, visitors,contractors,and vendors,ensuringadherencetosecurity procedures and providing concierge-level service.
Issue,manage,andretrieveaccesscredentials,includingtemporarybadges andcontractorpasses.
Respondpromptlytoemergencies, alarms,andsecurityincidentsasthefirston-sceneresponder, ensuring proper escalation and communication.
CollaboratewiththeGSOCandexternalemergencyservices(fire,medical,law enforcement) when incidents or emergencies require support.
Supporttheimplementationandreadinessofemergency procedures,including evacuations, shelter-in-place, and other life-safety protocols.
Maintainaccuratelogs,documentation,and incident reportsinaccordance with Global Security standards.
Participateinongoingsecuritybriefings,post updates,andteamtrainingsessionstomaintainsite readiness and awareness.
Conduct routine safety,security,andsysteminspections to ensurecomplianceandidentifyimprovement opportunities.
Completerequiredrecurringtraining,drills,andonlinelearningcoursesto ensure compliance with security and life-safety standards.
Concierge-Level Customer Service : Demonstratedability to provide high-touch,whitegloveservicewhilemaintainingstrictsecuritystandards andawelcoming environment.
Professional Communication: Exhibitsapolished,professional demeanor withstrongverbalandwritten communication skills; ableto interact effectively with employees, executives, VIPs, contractors, and diverse visitors.
Security&Technical Expertise: Strong understanding ofaccesscontroloperations, perimeter protection,CCTVandsurveillance systems,andcorporatesecuritytechnologies.

Call computer-based assessment duringthehiringprocess.ExperiencewithCCTV/VMS,accesscontrolplatforms,radios,orother security technologies. Ability to walk,stand,patrol multiple floors, and respond quickly to emergencies.
Abilitytopassacriminalbackground checkandmeetalllicensingrequirements.
Experienceina Security Operations Center (GSOC/SOC).
CPR/AED/First Aid certification(American Red Cross preferred ).
