Expected Responsibilities
  • Physical guard services:
    • Provide overt incident response, including medical incidents, natural disasters, and elevated threats.
    • Provide basic emergency first response (first aid, CPR, AED) and de‑escalation of security incidents.
    • Maintain and audit contact lists, access cards, and related tasks at locations without an account manager or supervisor.
  • Event security services:
    • Assist in planning, coordinating, and managing safety and security of client personnel and assets at event venues.
    • Perform event security coordination, crowd management, crowd movement planning, access control, perimeter control, incident response, asset protection, and any additional services requested.
  • CCTV and alarm monitoring services:
    • Monitor alarms and CCTV cameras to ensure all access points are locked and secure.
    • Respond to security incidents and breaches.
  • Alarm response services:
    • Perform alarm response per GSOC specifications.
    • Maintain constant contact with the GSOC team and assist in incident reporting.
  • Badging services:
    • Ensure all client staff and extended workforce use the access card system.
    • Escalate equipment or system failures when access card systems are not functional or followed by site procedures.
    • Administer the badging process for new hires and badge replacements.
  • Lost and found services:
    • Assist the Real Estate and Workplace Services team in managing lost and found.
    • Maintain inventory of found items and report lost items; responsibility for items lost due to negligence is limited to the contractor.
  • Visitor and guest processing services:
    • Log all visitors, contractors, and non‑badged employees.
    • Process visitors per client security requirements and site procedures.
    • Ensure all visitors are properly badged and escorted by a client employee.
    • Escalate any improperly badged or unescorted visitors.
    • Maintain badge inventory and database tied to the access control system.
  • Exterior and interior perimeter security services:
    • Conduct patrols of all buildings and sites by foot, bicycle, or vehicle on the agreed schedule.
    • Inspect exterior perimeters for security concerns and unauthorized vehicles.
    • Verify that all doors and restricted areas are secure and alarm status is adequate.
    • Check server rooms, telecom rooms, and IDFs for security integrity.
  • Vehicle access point monitoring:
    • Stand, greet, and verify access or visitor credentials.
    • Log employee and visitor vehicles passing the post.
    • Monitor entrances and exits to ensure badge usage.
  • Escort services:
    • Ensure escorted subcontractors, visitors, or non‑provisioned individuals access the site only as necessary and do not enter restricted areas.
Qualifications
  • A current guard card license as required by state or local law.
  • Pass a 7‑panel drug test before placement.
  • Pass a criminal history check (based on fingerprints where permitted).
  • Undergo employment verification back to age 18.
  • Undergo motor vehicle record checks.
Education And Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent; possession of a college degree is highly desirable.
  • Speak, read, and write English.
  • High integrity, exemplary security skills, and judgment.
  • Above‑average computer skills.
  • Must hold all necessary licenses, permits, and certifications required by the states or countries of assignment.
