Armed Security Officer – Part Time

Garda World Security Services is hiring an armed security officer for a part‑time position.

• Set schedule:
  Part time, 6 hours per week.
  • Saturday, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
• Competitive hourly wage of $35 per hour (Daily Pay is available for Garda World employees)

• Conduct post checks of officers under your supervision
• Train new officers
• Ensure 100 % coverage of your site to prevent dark posts
• Issue corrective action forms (CAFs)
• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on‑site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

• State security license and additional 32‑hour BSIS security trainings (additional trainings can be obtained during the hiring process)
• Minimum age of 21 years
• At least one year of armed security experience
• Active exposed firearm permit
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Documentation of HS diploma or GED
• First aid certification is an asset
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
• Experience in Security, Military, or Law Enforcement is even better
