Position Overview
As an Aircraft Security Guard at Alliance Ground International (AGI), you will protect aircraft, crew, cargo, and equipment in a fast‑paced aviation environment. You will maintain positive control of aircraft access, conduct screenings, and enforce AGI’s safety and security policies. The successful AGI team member brings their 'A' game every day with energy and enthusiasm, respect for their team, and the highest regard for safety.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain controlled access of the aircraft entrance and surrounding areas.
- Screen individuals and their belongings prior to aircraft boarding or entry to the airport operation area.
- Search aircraft for unauthorized material or personnel.
- Transport pilots to and from the aircraft.
- Inspect items using X‑ray equipment to identify objects requiring further investigation.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all emergency policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Report suspicious items or activity to management to determine appropriate action.
- Ensure cargo and company equipment remain secure and free of tampering.
- Report incidents to the supervisor as needed.
- Maintain a clean work area and report damaged or broken equipment.
- Complete paperwork and enter data into the company information system.
- Follow company procedures and protocols to operate safely and responsibly.
- Complete required training from AGI, airport authorities, or customers.
- Be punctual, prepared, and ready for flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and others.
- Cooperate with supervisors to comply with legal and company requirements.
- Do not interfere or misuse company resources.
- Report any hazardous or dangerous situations to your supervisor.
- Follow all safety and security procedures and policies.
- Walk and stand frequently for extended periods.
- Be alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and effectively use radio equipment.
- Work in extreme weather, jet and machinery noise.
- Professional presentation – well‑groomed appearance and customer‑service attitude.
- Effective communication – verbal and radio communication with flight crew, gate agents, and ground crew.
- Problem‑solving – assess security concerns and follow reporting procedure.
- Time management – complete tasks efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Authorization to work in the United States or Canada as required.
- Completion of ramp and SIDA training for airport authority identification security.
- Security Guard Card obtained within 90 days of probation.
- Ability to secure a Customs Seal if required by customer or role access.
- One or more years of relevant experience.
