Garda World Security Services is now hiring an Armed Security Officer
- Part Time! Must be 21 years of age, have one year of armed security experience, and an active exposed firearm permit. Please include your most up to date security resume.
What matters most in a role like this is your ability to read the environment, anticipate risk, and act accordingly. Tell us about how your keen sense of observation is one of your greatest strengths. As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

San Francisco, CA - Set schedule:
Part time, 6 hours per week. Saturday, 10:00am - 4:00pm - Competitive hourly wage of $35 / hour (Daily Pay is available for Garda World employees!)

Responsibilities of an Armed Security Officer
- Part Time:
- Conducting post checks of officers under your supervision
- Training new officers
- Make sure you have 100 % coverage of your site to insure there are zero dark posts
- Issue corrective action forms (CAFs)
- Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
- Verify identities and control access to secure areas
- React quickly to threats or incidents
- Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
- Document incidents and actions taken
- Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
- Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
- Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property
Qualifications of an Armed Security Officer
- Part Time:
- State security license and additional 32hr. BSIS security trainings (Additional security trainings can be obtained during the hiring process)
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must have one year of armed security experience
- Must have active exposed firearm permit
- Please include your most up to date security resume
- Be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Be able to provide documentation of HS Diploma or GED
- First aid certification is an asset
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
- If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
