The Protective Security Officer is a full-time, on-site position based in San Francisco, CA. In this role, the officer monitors premises and access points, conducts regular security patrols, and responds to alarms or incidents in accordance with established procedures. Daily responsibilities include observing and reporting safety or security concerns, verifying identification and credentials, and maintaining detailed incident and activity logs. The officer interacts professionally with clients, visitors, and team members, providing assistance and information while enforcing site policies and regulations.

The role may also involve coordinating with local law enforcement or emergency services, supporting risk mitigation plans, and participating in ongoing training to maintain readiness and compliance with company and client standards.

• Strong situational awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to observe, assess, and report security-related activities clearly and accurately.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, visitors, and colleagues in a professional and respectful manner.
• Ability to follow post orders, standard operating procedures, and emergency response protocols, including incident documentation and escalation.
• Capacity to stand, walk, and conduct patrols for extended periods, and to respond quickly and safely in urgent or stressful situations.
• Basic computer literacy to use security systems, access control platforms, and digital reporting tools.
• High level of integrity, reliability, and commitment to confidentiality and ethical conduct.
• Prior security, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience is beneficial.
• High school diploma or equivalent; valid security guard license or ability to obtain one in California, and ability to pass background checks and any required screenings.
