Base Annual Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000 (depending on experience)
Brick and Timber (the “Company”) is seeking a Lead Technician, Maintenance to perform apartment building Repair and Maintenance (R&M) projects. The person that holds this position will need to demonstrate exemplary customer service skills, maintain impeccably clean work areas, and effectively communicate with all residents and team members internally and externally. The Company is a property management company focused upon managing residential apartment properties in the Bay Area.

- Address repair and maintenance work orders as they arise across 100+ properties in and around San Francisco, CA; typical independent assignments include troubleshoots, repairs, replacing HVAC equipment and controls (vent heaters, standing heater, electric heater, radiator heater, hydronic heater, base board heater); installing, repairing and replacing all plumbing fixtures, piping, auger, drains, backups, clogs, toilets, shower valves, steam or cleanout systems;
troubleshooting, replacing and installing new electrical. Fuses, fixtures, switches, breakers, drivers, ballast, and receptacles and understanding the reading of the multimeter for volts, amps and ohms; preparing and finishing all interior of make ready units; completing repairs on exterior stucco surfaces; moving, installing, repairing household appliances (stoves, dishwashers, microwaves, range hood, garbage disposal, refrigerator, washer and dryer); installing, repairing and replacing drywall, counters and cabinetry;
all groundskeeping tasks; troubleshooting and maintaining pool equipment.
- 6 to 8 years of related experience in multifamily property repairs and maintenance.
- Proficient understanding and experience in all maintenance trades; demonstrates appropriate use of standard hand and power tools.
- Complete knowledge in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repairs and installations, carpentry, flooring, windows and paint.
- Proficient technology and computer skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Must be a good communicator (written and oral) and must be able to maintain effective documentation.
- Capability to think critically, solve problems logically and make well-reasoned business decisions.
- Proactive, well-organized and results-oriented with the ability to lead and participate in multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to details and multitasking capability.
- Exercise significant independent judgement, initiative, responsibility and accountability.
