Full-Time in San Francisco Bay Area, CA

The Carpenter position is responsible for high quality workmanship of high-end residential construction projects.
Responsibilities- Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
- Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
- Install structures or fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, trim, or hardware, using carpenters' hand or power tools.
- Verify trueness of structure, using plumb bob, level, lasers or builder's level.
- Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter's hand tools, or power tools.
- Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
- Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools.
- Protect installed work in progress and finished goods.

- Operation Monitoring – Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

- Building and Construction – Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures such as highways and roads.
- Mathematics – Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
- Mechanical – Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Production and Processing – Knowledge of materials, production processes, and quality control, costs.
- Design – Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Public Safety and Security – Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, and procedures to promote the effective protection of people and property.
- Customer and Personal Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Grade 12 knowledge of Math and English.
- Communicate by speaking English with other people.
- Carpentry: 5 years.
- High-End Residential Construction: 3 years.
- Carpenter Foreman: 3 years.
- Trade school.
