JOB TITLE:
Cinema and Gallery AV Technician (Part-Time)
LOCATION:
San Francisco, CA
PAY RANGE: $30 - $36/hr.
DURATION: 1 Year
SCHEDULE:
20 hours per week
Duties:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cinema and Gallery A/V Technician to operate Audio, Video, and Projection systems in our state-of-the-art facilities s role will be responsible for operating systems for media demos of Technologies, Film Screenings, Presentations, and Events. Additionally, this position will require weekday, weekend, and evening availability.
Job Functions and Qualifications:
- Operate audio, video, lighting, and projection systems and provide technical assistance for our Cinema and Gallery demos and events.
- Quickly and accurately route digital and analog signals through networked systems and physical patch bays.
- Set up and operate small PA systems and presentation monitors for events throughout the building.
- Assist in content management on projection systems and general A/V systems maintenance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the projection booth, tech areas in the Cinema, and storage rooms.
- Must have excellent customer-facing skills and exposure to handling critical, high-pressure issues for all levels of employees, including ELT members.
- Fundamental understanding of audio and video signal flow, Cinema projection systems, live sound mixing, wireless mic systems, and live event workflows.
- Strong technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, collaborate effectively with event teams, and work well with others under pressure.
- Competency in both Mac and PC operating systems.
- Experience with PowerPoint presentations in a corporate event environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent multitasking skills, able to manage multiple tasks while meeting specific deadlines.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, and comfort addressing various levels within the organization.
- Knowledge of and experience using Cinema projection systems.
- Knowledge of and experience using Dante, Pro Tools, and Audio Architect.
- Experience using Crestron systems.
- Experience using complex KVM systems.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
