Job Overview
A Cooling CE is responsible for installation, commissioning, scheduled and emergency service on Liebert Air products. The CE must establish and maintain excellent rapport with customers, co‑workers, sales representatives and others, and maintain continuous communication with area/district offices and the direct manager.
Responsibilities- Perform installation, commissioning, scheduled maintenance and emergency service on Liebert Air products.
- Provide on‑site and phone assistance to customers.
- Communicate with National Technical Support regarding equipment issues.
- Implement field change notices and keep current on safety bulletins, field change notices and service tips.
- Operate safely in accordance with published guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Adhere to work‑hour policies and report accidents or injuries within 24 hours.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting, timecards, expense reports, mileage reports, ticket closures and other required forms.
- Maintain inventory, company property, and vehicle/credit‑card/PPE/test equipment/laptop as per policy.
- Communicate properly and adequately to internal and external customers, provide estimated time of arrival, complete maintenance documentation, and strive for a “first‑time fix.”
- Maximize productivity by combining service opportunities and completing work efficiently and timely.
- Make technical and commercial decisions under pressure and properly evaluate sites for billing.
- Maintain productive utilization rate, perform inventory cycle counts, and comply with dress code and safety regulations.
- Meet or exceed on‑site response time requirements and understand company startup/escalation procedures.
- Perform various work‑related tasks and maintain certifications per job requirements.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- HVAC certificate or equivalent experience.
- Six years military experience related to HVAC or equivalent industry experience with an EPA refrigerant license.
- Basic electrical knowledge, ability to read line diagrams and blueprints, knowledge of Ohm’s law and HVAC theory.
- Strong communication, customer service, troubleshooting, safety, organizational, planning, and computer skills.
- Team player, reliable, professional, and familiar with electrical/electronic test equipment.
- Capability to perform elementary fix/repair techniques under supervision.
- Ability to summarize and report all work performed.
- Required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle objects, reach with arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb or balance.
- Must lift up to 50 lbs routinely and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
- Frequent driving (car, van, truck) and traveling may be required.
- Work outdoors with exposure to extremes of cold (100 °F).
- Exposure to noise; may need to shout.
- Work around moving machinery (fork‑lifts, tractors) and use protective equipment.
- Flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, holidays; may be on‑call.
- Valid driver’s license and minimum age 18 years.
- Travel and flexible schedules with occasional on‑call duty.

California salary range: $65,000–$75,000 per year. Additional rewards may include merit increases, annual bonus, stock, profit sharing, allowances, travel and/or car expenses, and sales incentives. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, PTO, holiday pay and 401(k).
