Appliance Repair Technician
Green Tree Maintenance, a Veritas Investments company, is seeking experienced technicians to join our maintenance team! An Appliance Repair Technician is responsible for repairing or replacing defective or damaged appliance components upon approval from customers. Advising customers on how to use appliances correctly. Installing various large appliances for customers, such as washers, wall ovens, and stoves.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handle 100% of the company's appliance repairs including refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, washing machines and dryers
- Examine customers appliances to identify the cause of appliance breakdowns
- Communicate with team members, resident managers, and maintenance supervisor throughout the day
- Report on all expenditures, change orders, invoices, billing and purchases for approval and processing
- Performs hands-on repairs and maintains portfolio cleanliness
- Daily reporting of completed work order, open work order and any issues encountered
- Weekly submittal of time sheets, gas mileage and invoices associated with the work orders
- Maintains regular contact with residents and skilled trades keeping detailed current system records and documents
Skills and Abilities:
- Proven experience as an Appliance Repair Tech
- EPA certified
- Good working knowledge of tools and devices required to perform the job
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength with the ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Able to work well with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures
- Be responsive with emails, calls and texts
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
Certificate in building maintenance technology or relevant field a plus - 1-3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician preferred
- Must own and be very familiar with a smart phone and know how to use email
- Must have reliable vehicle, valid driver license and insurance
Compensation:
Depending on experience $25 - $35/hr
