Job Description & How to Apply Below

Atoms is building the machines that power the next era of progress.

Over the last decade, software has transformed the digital world. But the physical world, where food is made, minerals are mined, goods are moved, and industries are run, remains far less intelligent, far less efficient, and far more constrained. We’re changing that.

Atoms builds Physical AI— real-world robots for the industries that move civilization forward, starting with food, mining, and transport. Our systems are designed to understand, predict, and control the real world with precision, turning complex physical operations into something more reliable, more scalable, and more productive.

This work requires more than robotics. It requires deep integration across hardware, software, AI, operations, manufacturing, and real estate. We don’t just build machines in a lab. We deploy them into real environments, operate them, learn from them, and improve them until they work at scale.

We are roboticists, engineers, operators, and builders. We believe the next great technology companies will not only transform information, but the physical systems that shape everyday life.

If you want to work on hard problems with real-world impact, join us.

About the Role

As a Harness Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, routing, and verification of electrical harnesses used in advanced vehicle and technology systems. Working from engineering drawings and documented procedures, you will ensure harnesses are installed correctly, connectors are properly seated, and all assemblies meet quality standards before moving to the next stage of production.

This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret technical documentation, and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What you’ll do
  • Install and route pre-manufactured wire harnesses according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Secure harnesses using approved routing methods, retention points, and strain relief techniques.
  • Verify connector placement, seating, and engagement to ensure proper installation.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and assembly documentation.
  • Perform continuity checks and basic electrical verification testing.
  • Conduct visual inspections to ensure workmanship meets quality standards.
  • Identify and report damaged components, wiring issues, or assembly discrepancies.
  • Document completed work and inspection results as required.
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations and tools.
  • Collaborate with assembly, installation, and quality teams to support production goals.
What we’re looking for
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with wire harness installation, cable routing, or mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in automotive, robotics, aerospace, electronics, or manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with wire harnesses, connectors, cable management, and strain relief techniques.
  • Experience performing continuity testing and quality inspections.
  • Understanding of basic electrical principles and low-voltage systems.
Technical Skills
  • Wire harness installation and routing
  • Connector installation and verification
  • Cable management and strain relief
  • Continuity testing
  • Schematic and wiring diagram interpretation
  • Hand tool proficiency
  • Quality inspection and documentation
  • Process and procedure adherence
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work around equipment or vehicle assemblies for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work with small components and perform detailed manual tasks.
  • Ability to perform repetitive work while maintaining quality standards.

At Atoms, you’ll work on one of the defining challenges of our time—bringing automation into the physical world to drive real, lasting impact. We exist to uncover valuable unknown truths and turn…
