Supervising Social Worker, Education and Orientation
Starting Salary Range: $75,518 - $90,621
GGRC is looking to hire a Supervising Social Worker for our Education and Orientation unit, who will provide supervision of assigned Social Workers, carry out administrative functions in relation to that supervision and provide case management back‑up for individuals served as needed. Select participants from underserved populations to fill four (4) case loads of 1:40. In conjunction with Director, RCS, develop enhanced case management materials and curriculum for these specialized caseloads regarding regional center and service delivery.
This role is a hybrid position which will allow you to work from any of our three offices in San Francisco, San Mateo, San Rafael and from the comfort of your home. This role will require you to travel throughout all three counties of San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin. Access to reliable transportation will be required. Occasional statewide travel to sites throughout California.
Responsibilities- Supervision
- Supervise assigned staff by providing leadership and enabling staff to efficiently utilize time and resources
- Participate in the hiring of staff, and subsequent training and evaluation of assigned staff
- Represent administration on internal and community committees and task forces as assigned
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures
- Provides coaching and monitoring of employee’s performance and conducts an annual performance evaluation for employees
- Review and approve required and/or appropriate documentation to ensure compliance with established standards
- Serve as administrative and supervisory back up to the Manager, Regional Center Services
- Supervise/manage social workers involved with the initial and/or continuing assessments of clients and in overall case planning
- Prepare monthly statistics
- Review and process all documentation created by each staff member
- Perform Supervisor of the Day functions as required by Office
- Serve as back up to Social Workers as needed
- Participate in the Supervisory On‑Call rotation on a voluntary basis
- Participate in special projects, and assist with additional duties or tasks, as assigned
- Maintain all client information as confidential in compliance with the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and the California Lanterman Act
- Assess Purchase of Service utilization rates annually in collaboration with CSD
- Work collaboratively with Community Outreach Unit to assess service needs of individuals served with Low/no POS
- Work collaboratively with the Manager of Community Outreach & Engagement to assess need for and implement (and/or partner with CBOs) family groups/support groups
- Work collaborative with the Manager of Outreach & Engagement in outreach events
- Participate in special projects related to POS demographics and Service Access and Equity Grant Program
- Oversee the development of Regional Center education to newly eligible individuals/families
- Participate in training and development of RCS staff
- Support workshop development for individuals and families
- Education/Experience
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or related human services field. Bachelor’s degree with Regional Center experience can be considered.
- Valid Clinical License at time of hire and ability to maintain license in good standing preferred
- 4+ years post‑Master’s work with increasing responsibility
