Bilingual Social Worker - ASL Required
Starting Salary:
Bachelor's Degree $59,826 - $71,791;
Master's Degree $65,929 - $79,114.
- Work with individuals with developmental disabilities over 3 years old and families to advocate for and secure services.
- Participate in assessment, develop, implement, and coordinate Individual Program Plans, and complete required documentation.
- Manage a wide range of active cases requiring professional social work skills, including creative planning and acquiring services.
- Participate in ongoing social assessments, collect data for the interdisciplinary team, design, monitor, and revise program plans.
- Initiate and terminate regional center funding and ensure purchased services are delivered.
- Prepare required reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner; maintain records in compliance with federal and state requirements.
- Advocate for individuals and families to assure receipt of entitled services, encourage participation, and review available resources.
- Initiate referrals, monitor progress of vendored services, evaluate effectiveness, and identify service gaps.
- Provide outreach services as assigned; participate in internal and community committees and task forces as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school of social welfare or related human services field;
Master’s Degree preferred. - Fluency in ASL with thorough knowledge of technical terminology and ability to speak and understand ASL as appropriate.
- Knowledge of counseling principles, child development behavior, human growth, and family relationships.
- Case management experience strongly desired.
- Reliable transportation for regular visits to programs without advanced notice.
- Independent work skills, sound judgment, teamwork capability, excellent communication, and ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
