Part-Time, non-exempt

FTE: 20 hours per week (0.5 FTE)

PAY:
Expected:
Program Coordinator workdays: $31.25/hour;
Training Delivery workdays: $38.27/hour

LOCATION/NEIGHBORHOOD: 75 Laguna Street, San Francisco, CA 94102

San Francisco neighborhood – Hayes Valley, Upper mid-market

PUBLIC TRANSIT PROXIMITY: ½ block from F Line, 1 block from Bus lines 6 & 7

ON-SITE/HYBRID:
On-site required for all Program Coordinator days;
Hybrid/Off-Site available for training days

SCHEDULE:

Hours per week: 20 hours;
Days of the week:
Monday – Friday; some evenings and weekends may be required

Position Summary

Openhouse seeks a positive, compassionate, caring, creative, organized, and experienced candidate for this unique role supporting Community Engagement Programs (CEP) and providing trainings on behalf of Openhouse. The Programs Coordinator & Trainer (PCT) will help support the coordination and delivery of our direct services and community programs that promote engagement, health, and wellness for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) older adults in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The PCT will also support a variety of administrative aspects of programming to ensure the effective, comprehensive, and cohesive running of Openhouse programs. The PCT will also deliver trainings on behalf of Openhouse, to fulfill requirements set by the SF Dept. of Disability & Aging Services, the Alzheimer's Association, and others.

This position requires flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends and to participate in community-based activities as necessary to meet program and contractual obligations. This position is funded in whole or in part through grant and/or contract funding. Continued employment in this role is dependent upon the availability of funding and programmatic need.

Essential Functions And Approximate Percentage Of Time

Direct Program Support - 50%

Administrative Program Support - 30%

Training - 20%

The percentage allocations listed above are estimates and may shift based on operational priorities, staffing needs, program activity levels, and organizational demands. Openhouse reserves the right to adjust the distribution of duties while maintaining the essential nature of the position.

Duties ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The following duties are considered essential job functions under the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA):

  • Direct Program Support
  • Support with the coordination and implementation of Openhouse programming on-site and off-site that aims to increase feelings of connection and well-being and decreases isolation in the LGBTQ Older Adult community.
  • Assist with and oversee the logistics to make events and programs possible such as supporting the implementation of virtual programming, supporting promotional and advertising efforts, managing supplies inventory
  • Attend relevant trainings as directed by the Manager of Community Engagement.
  • Administrative Program Support
  • Administration related to the receiving and recording of RSVPs, managing the RSVP phone line and email inbox, and communicating effectively with community members as needed around program attendance, including outreach calls, etc.
  • Support with managing programs-specific data forms: sign-in sheets, registrations, annual Consumer Satisfaction Surveys, program evaluation and other required documentation as required by the SF Department of Disability and Aging Services and other funders.
  • Regularly utilizing information from sign-sheets and RSVP documents to ensure accuracy/update Neon One
  • Community Engagement data entry as needed.
  • Activity setup and breakdown, including moving tables and chairs.
  • Training
  • Facilitate training programs on a variety of topics related to LGBTQIA+ issues, including but not limited to gender identity, sexual orientation, intersectionality, allyship, and anti-discrimination laws and policies.
