The Dance Enrichment Specialist at the YMCA plays a vital role in inspiring creativity and fostering a love for the arts in participants of all ages. This full‑time position is responsible for developing and leading engaging dance programs that promote self‑expression, critical thinking, and personal growth. The specialist will create a welcoming, inclusive environment where participants feel encouraged to explore various artistic mediums and techniques, regardless of their skill level.

By combining enthusiasm for the arts with strong organizational and teaching skills, the Dance Enrichment Specialist will design and implement programs that align with the YMCA’s mission of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by nurturing creativity, building confidence, and strengthening community connections through the arts. The Dance Enrichment Specialist must be available to work Monday‑Friday, including some evenings and weekends as needed.

  August 11, 2025 – June 3, 2026
• Marin Sites:
  August 18, 2025 – June 13, 2026

• Design and implement engaging art programs and activities for participants of varying ages and skill levels.
• Incorporate diverse artistic mediums and techniques to promote creativity and self‑expression.
• Regularly assess and update program content to maintain relevance and effectiveness.
• Ensure art programs align with the YMCA’s mission of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

• Provide clear instruction, demonstrations, and guidance to help participants develop artistic skills.
• Offer constructive feedback to encourage growth and confidence.
• Create opportunities for participants to highlight their work through exhibitions, community events, or projects.

• Organize and maintain program supplies, ensuring materials are available, safe, and used efficiently.
• Manage program budgets effectively, if applicable.

• Ensure a safe environment by adhering to YMCA policies and best practices for program delivery.
• Monitor and address safety concerns during art activities.

• Build positive relationships with participants, families, and community members to strengthen engagement in the arts.

• Stay informed on current trends and best practices in dance education and enrichment.
• Participate in YMCA trainings and meetings as required.
