Position Summary

The On-Call Enhanced Visitation Specialist provides structured supervision of visits between children and parents referred by the Department of Children and Family Services, supporting families working toward reunification. This site-based program creates a safe, supportive environment where parents can strengthen parenting skills, build healthier relationships with their children, and improve long-term permanency outcomes. In this role, the specialist closelymonitorsparent-child interactions,documents foreach visit, and offers real-time guidance through role modeling, coaching, and constructive feedback.

Using a culturally responsive, strength-based approach, theOn-Call EV Specialist promotes family well-being by delivering education, advocacy, and case management, while also connecting families to community resources and support services that reinforce stability and success.

Specific Responsibilities:

Participant Engagement

• Ensure communication and interventions with visitors and participants are culturally relevant, acknowledge and value families' strengths, and are responsive to the multiple aspects of the diversity of the families served
• Supervise visits between child(ren) andtheirparent(s) andensurechildren have age-appropriate opportunities for interaction with their parent(s) andmaintainasafeenvironmentforall participants.
• Make appropriate referrals to Good Samaritan services and other community resources, and encourage/facilitate successful and continued access to those services
• Conduct Basic and Comprehensive Intakes through internal database (Salesforce, CMS) to new and returning Good Samaritan Participants which includes assessing needs, completing consentformsand keeping documents confidential.
• Provide families referred by Family & Children Services with supportive, culturally responsive, nonjudgmental, and non-stigmatizing navigation services.
• Maintain consistent communication with Child Welfare Workerregardingprogress and challenges.
• Collaborate with Child Welfare Worker to build enrichment programs/opportunities for each visit.
• Oversee visits (minimum of3families/week, up to3-6 hourspervisit) with families enrolled in Enhanced Visitation Services.
• Teach and model skills and strategies for accessing services, goal setting, problem solving,conflict resolution, communication, parenting, and other areas relevant to family’s well-being
• Complete program reporting and program evaluation activitiesasrequired byDECand Child Protective Services
• Research community services toidentifyrelevant resources to incorporate intoa resource information guide.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures during visitations
• Provide administrative support to staff as needed

• Working closely with HSA staff andotherpartners to obtain referrals and ensure effective coordination of care
• Coordinate and schedule visitation appointments with legal guardians,fosterparentsand other involved partiesto ensure timely, consistent, and well-organized family visits
